HPS, a leading payment solutions company, has just conquered the South American

continent by signing a contract with the Brazilian company Embratec. This company now uses PowerCARD, the flagship electronic payment solution of HPS, to provide flexible and innovative management of all is services related to payment cards such as issuance and processing of revolving credit cards and prepaid cards and management of merchant networks. The first phase of the project was successfully implemented earlier this year.

 

With this partnership with Embratec, HPS is entering one of the most dynamic emerging markets.

 

Brazil, one of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) countries, is a very significant market that offers excellent opportunities, particularly for companies specializing in electronic payment technologies. Little affected by the international economic crisis, Brazil has a vast, diversified and dynamic market. This country of 190 million inhabitants is counting on growth of its GDP of around 5.8% in 2010.
