Aware of the importance of training in a sector where technology is constantly evolving, a little more than 2 years ago HPS launched an international training center dedicated to electronic banking and secure electronic payment systems. Known as “HPS Academy”, this institution provides training in the HPS premises in Casablanca and Dubai and provides distance learning (e-learning) that allows candidates from a variety of geographical origins to follow the curriculum of HPS Academy from around the world, thereby eliminating the constraints related to geographic location and time zones.
The HPS Academy center is dedicated to training engineers from HPS (new recruits,
qualification of engineers, etc.) and from its customers (users, issuance system and card management heads, etc.) and partners.
HPS Academy offers several training modules covering, among others, the payment sector and company best practices, specific aspects of the electronic payment industry (payment, security, risk management, regulations, etc.), preparation for certification, training on the PowerCARD system, etc.
Course duration ranges from 1 to 3 weeks depending on the course package chosen by the companies wishing to train their staff. Upon request from customers, HPS Academy also provides specific training sessions on the fields of electronic banking and payment.
HPS Academy courses are provided in English and French by qualified consultants. They are interactive courses based on training workshops and demonstrations.
Training cycles are sanctioned by certificates attesting to the level of mastery and knowledge of their beneficiaries in the field of electronic banking, and particularly in the HPS flagship system: PowerCARD.
With this specialized training, which fits into a strategy of skills transfer, HPS Academy is part of a proactive approach that aims to position Morocco as a hub in electronic banking and secure electronic payment technologies by making this training a vector of human development and a source of productivity and added value that is able to contribute to the emergence of centers of excellence with high potential.
Thus, this approach, which somewhat anticipated the new National Strategy for the
Information Society, “Digital Morocco 2013”, launched this year, will certainly contribute to the success of this initiative which aims to make the information technologies sector one of the pillars of the national economy, a source of added value for the other sectors of economic activity and a vector of human development. This strategy, with a budget of 5.2 billion Dirhams, aims for widespread use of new information and communications technologies (NICT) and to position Morocco among the dynamic emerging countries in information technologies with an objective of 27 billion Dirhams of additional GDP and creation of 26,000 new jobs.
