PowerCARD-Switch is an end to end secure payment solution that enables any Acquiring Bank, Issuing Bank or Merchant Acquirer Processors to manage and support in a flexible and scalable way multiple routing connections and payment channels.

PowerCARD-Switch is the core of PowerCARD' front-End modules.

PowerCARD-Switch offers a flexible and scalable solution to link the different players of the card business:

In addition to the availability of various links, PowerCARD-Switch enables the management and the supervision of the interfaces. PowerCARD-Switch provides rich statistical information on the server activity as well. PowerCARD-Switch' rules are defined in a highly parameterized way at transaction level depending on:

	Issuer identification,
	Acquirer channel,
	Debit-Single and Credit-Dual mode,
	Scheduled and Unscheduled downtime.

For each transaction type, stand in rules are defined according to:

	Card ranges,
	Product,
	On Host status,
	Scheduled Off Host status,
	Unscheduled Off Host status,
	Transaction origin.

PowerCARD-Switch provides complete authorization and Stand-in services. The utilization of the authorization and Stand-in may be either permanent for certain types of cards, or occasional for other types of cards, as an emergency or a secondary solution.

Among the services provided by PowerCARD-Switch is the connection to the HSM. This interface is the core of PowerCARD' security system. It provides standard functions for card production and verification (PIN, CVV, PVV, etc.), and for encrypting and authentication to/from ATM, POS, International card organizations, etc. It support EMV and E-commerce encryption requirements.
