HPS was awarded the 2008 Golden Chip Award for Best On-Line Application for Banking for its PowerCARD suite of solutions.

Based on Oracle architecture with high security levels, PowerCARD offers multichannel, multi-institution, multi-country, multi-language, and multi-currency capabilities. PowerCARD's comprehensive, modular and evolving software solutions enable customers to reduce transaction costs, eliminate fraud and master operating risks, thus maximizing their profitability and their effectiveness.

PowerCARD administers multi-institution and multi-country inter-bank solutions throughout Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and America. Its prepaid card and microcredit solutions have been innovative in providing payroll, pension and financial services to the underbanked and unbanked populations.

The Golden Chip Awards recognize excellence in ICT applications and services to cutting-edge companies around the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. The Awards have been developed by the Professional Computer Association of Lebanon (PCA) in association with the Arab ICT Organization (IJMA3). The Awards are made annually at the MENA ICT Week event, which was held this year from November 21-23 in Beirut, Lebanon.

The 2009 Golden Chip Awards will be held in Bahrain.
