In this stride, the western African region is assigned to be one of the most dynamic areas for electronic payments and EMV standards penetration.
This pace is more perceptible with the launch of the GIM-UEMOA (Regional switch for the western Africa), and the SMAC (Central Africa switch centre), both relying on PowerCARD technology to enable the region economic and financial integration.
